Introducing the World’s First Master in Spiritual Architecture
Architecture has always shaped not only our surroundings but also our inner experiences. Sacred spaces, in particular, have long responded to humanity’s deepest needs, offering places of reflection, connection, and transcendence. Inspired by this, Franchi Umberto Marmi renews its partnership with YACademy to launch Spiritual Architecture, the first master’s program dedicated to exploring the wisdom of sacred architecture across cultures and religions.
Blending anthropology and design, the course will equip architects to create spaces that foster psychological and spiritual well-being—both in sacred and secular contexts.
For centuries, stone has been the material of choice for humanity’s most spiritual creations—from the Parthenon in Athens to Michelangelo’s Pietà, from the Taj Mahal to the great cathedrals of Europe. Its timeless beauty and ethereal luminosity have made it a symbol of the sacred, shaping places meant to inspire awe and contemplation. This deep connection between matter and spirituality will be a key theme of the master’s program, offering participants a unique perspective on designing spaces that transcend mere function.
Led by renowned professionals, the program also guarantees each student an internship or collaboration opportunity with YACademy’s partner firms.
